This is the Break Stuff Organisation: dedicated to fearless propaganda, hand to hand fighting and general mayhem with a final aim of world wide domination for ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.
Here you can find the latest news, gossip, rumour and blatant lies but not a lot in the way of actual hard information about the band and their records, gigs etc. That's because we can't be bothered. I suggest you visit www.trailofdead.org for all that.
Remember this: we don't care. |

Breakstuff hears the new Trail of Dead album...
...is going to be called Worlds Apart. It's a concept album plotting the career highs and lows of the terrible 90s boy band which Trail of Dead feel closely mirrors their own career. As everyone knows, Worlds Apart were put together by a management company through auditions of crazy looking boys bent on destruction. They then got a stylist in to help the boys with their image of dyed black hair, eyeliner and nice jumpers and put them into intensive classes on media relations and dance routines. After a couple of records on cool indie labels to gain some dedicated obsessive fans, the boy band were then picked up by a major and spent the next few years travelling the world, being chased by screaming girls and not really selling that many records. All excellent inspiration for an album, I'm sure you'll agree. We also have an exclusive picture of the cover art which has been handpainted by Conrad and will feature liner notes by Nathan Moore, ex-member of the excellent Brother Beyond as well as Worlds Apart, who also contributes additional backing vocals to a number of tracks. The album has been delayed until the end of January so that the band can be given a strict talking to by Interscope heavies and convinced to think of a better idea. Can't wait.

Trail of Dead "Not Skiving, Honest"
Word reaches us (from Conrad via Conrad's Mom via Yahoo*) that TOD haven't actually been sitting on their asses procrastinating about TOD.com and eating pie. No, they've been busy painting pictures, planning terrorist attacks and thinking about getting some photos taken. Excellent. Our evil nemeses at Interscope have reportedly shelved the TOD album til sometime more suitable next year (my birthday, I expect) but a single is promised for October as well as a tour. I'm not holding my breath.
*Incidentally, why is Conrad not posting to the Yahoo Group himself, you might ponder? We hear CK's love of blatant lies may have finally caught up with him. hawhaw. |

Jason Reece asking for trouble
While you're waiting for the next TOD album, why not fill that Jason-sized hole in your heart by purchasing a copy of the double 7" box set on Asking for Trouble. It's a 4 band extravaganza with one band being A Roman Scandal, Jason's "other band". Although now scattered throughout the far points of the USA, ARS are still functioning as a recording band via the magic of electronics and you can hear one of these tracks, 'Mock The Gods' on this release. Tyler ARS's new band Denim and Diamonds are also featured with their Devo-style electromentalism. Two UK bands finish off the deal with Uter's lo-fi electronic noise pop and Sunnyvale Noise Sub-element's existential electronic garage punk. As well as all this great music you also get a fanzine with the bands interviewing each other and a free unique mystery object. Exciting! Get your copy, or more info, from www.askingfortrouble.org.

| OUR GREATEST NEWS STORY (It's worrying how many people believed this...) |
Trail of Dead turned into plastic
After the success of the Limp Bizkit plastic figures, Interscope have turned their minds to new signings Trail of Dead and how they can persuade their fans to hand over more cash. The Interscope marketing department thought long and hard and came up with........Trail of Dead plastic figures! Expected to be on sale by Christmas 2003, the full set will feature all four members of the band and accessories, believed to include broken guitars, iBook laptops, bottles of whisky and warm coats. |
